Hampeella alaris

Family: Ptychomniaceae

Hampeela alaris plants form dense erect or pendent golden-green tufts. Branches are usually flattened at their tips and taper into long sharp points. The leaves are oblong and concave and taper into a long, sharp, recurved point. Capsules are deeply furrowed with a double peristome.

An epiphyte widespread in New Zealand in damp forest.
