Lindsaea trichomanoides is a terrestrial fern with creeping stems (rhizomes) bearing erect oval bright green fronds with broad, round-ended leaflets.
Found in western parts of the North Island, the Marlborough Sounds and the west coast of the South Island in drier lowland to montane forest.
