Hymenophyton flabellatum

Family: Hymenophytaceae

Hymenophyton flabellatum forms colonies with glossy-green fronds. Each frond consists of an erect stem bearing a glossy, lobed palmate thallus. Sperm-containing antheridia and egg-containing archegonia are borne on minute branches attached to the underside of the thallus.. 

Widespread in New Zealand on litter and old logs in shaded places adjacent to streams.
