Metzgeria leptoneura

Family: Metzgeriaceae

Metzgeria leptoneura has a strap-shaped, branching thallus with a strongly concave dorsal surface. Thallus margins have numerous long hairs directed inwards towards the hairs along the midrib. 

Widespread throughout New Zealand adjacent to streams on soil, rock and on bark of trees.
