Neohodgsonia mirabilis has a branching thallus with rounded lobes. The dorsal surface has gemmae cups and numerous air pores each opening up into the interior. Female and male gametangia are borne on erect branches of the thallus called archegoniophores (female) and antheriodiophores (male). Formerly known as Hodgsonia mirabilis.
An endemic genus and endemic family, found in upland forest.
