Dendrohypopterygium filiculiforme is a moss with erect branches bearing large, umbrella-shaped and flat fronds up to 6 cm in diameter. The primary and secondary branches are very robust and support a carpet-like foliage of overlapping leaves. Each secondary branch bears two rows of large lateral leaves and a third row of smaller under-leaves. Formerly Hypopterygium filiculaeforme.
